2. Agregue 1 o 2 gotas de indicador y agite. En presencia de una dureza superior a 3 ppm CaCO3 aparecerá un color rojo vino (un color azul indica ausencia de dureza. Con una dureza inferior a 3 ppm el color de la muestra cambia de violeta a gris y rosa).
3.Agregue el valorante gota a gota, mezclando después de cada adición. Cuente las gotas hasta que el color cambie de rojo a azul. Cada gota corresponde a 1°fr grado (1°fr= 10 ppm CaCO3).
4. Para agua blanda, llene el recipiente hasta los 10 ml. marcar y agregar 2-4 gotas de indicador. Cada gota de titulante corresponde a 0,5°fr grados.
