For optimal performance, it is recommended to install a pre-filter to remove impurities and suspended particles, which can reduce sterilization efficiency. If the water contains sulfur compounds, iron above 0.3 ppm, or solids, the quartz sleeve may accumulate residue and require regular cleaning based on water quality and usage.
